'the peeper'

'the peeper'

“the peeper” began as a project to utilize a peephole from my old front door into an art project.  The original concept I had I have long since forgotten.  What this work represents is my delving into a new place with my art.  Not sure what that is either, but it is a different place. Combining my woodworking skill and tendencies towards sarcasm I figure something good will come out of all this. Or at least amusing.

I felt it was absolutely necessary that I used them both. So the box got larger and then mobile and legs were added and now we have what is seen here.

Of course now there are two viewing options for you to choose from.  It is best viewed with another.

What’s in the box you say? Ha well I can’t give it all way….the peephole makes you want to know doesn’t it?

You have to look?  hmmmm, well some things must just be experienced.

Todays furthering of my projects…

'a toy for children' in pieces.

'a toy for children' in pieces.

‘A Toy For Children’ is a new piece I have been thinking about for a long time (as with most things).  It has continually evolved and only recently began to manifest itself.  I knew there would be moving parts and gears from the beginning but what they were going to move I did not know.  Gears and gear ratio figuring is all new to me and proving frustrating not to mention the tediousness of making gears from wood.  The idea is much cooler than the building of, however…I persevere.
